Calling on all students k-12th grade

CREATE A FAN DESIGN FOR THE

200 YEAR CELEBRATION OF THE

INDIAN SPRING HOTEL!

Prizes: 1st place will be the design used for our 200 celebration Fan

Overall 1st, 2nd. 3rd place winners will receive a certificate, ribbon, and gift certificates.

Kindergarten-12th grade. Certificates and Ribbons will be awarded to 1st -3rd place winners in each grade.

All winners (1st-3rd place) will be invited to the Native American Festival and Powwow on Saturday, September 9th 2023, to receive their awards.

All judged entries will be on display at the Native American Festival and Powwow.

Submission Rules:

1. All work must be on a white 3x5 unruled index card or equivalent printable size.

2. The original artwork can include a written message and colorful drawings.

3. The artwork and message must relate to the theme: 200-year Celebration of the Indian Spring Hotel

   built by Chief William McIntosh of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation

4. Postcards can be mailed or submitted digitally.

5. All entries will be judged on creativity and use of theme. Original student artwork can use crayons,

   pencils, pens, and markers. No copyright trademarks will be judged. (Example: Muscogee Nation Seal)

6. Please print the following information on the back of each card. If student information is incomplete or

   illegible, it will not be judged. If postcards are submitted digitally the same information must be included with each entry:

   1. Grade Level 2. Student’s First and Last Name 3. Parent Name & Email/Phone Number

   4.(If applicable) School Name & address & phone number Sponsoring Teacher’s Name & Email and phone number Homeroom Teacher’s Name (if different from sponsoring teacher)

   OR Home Address (Homeschool or Virtual Learners)

7. Mail or email entries to:

   Entries must be postmarked by June 10th, 2023, to be eligible for judging.

All entries become property of the Butts County Historical Society and will not be returned.
