Jackson-Butts County Art of the Garden Tour

Five owner-designed, owner-dug gardens that honor terrain, microclimates, and the human history of the land.
Featuring:

Garden 1 - A horse farm with pond, water features, Japanese maples, specimen conifers, perennials, and a registered Toomer's Corner Oak. Meet artist Barnesville Woodturners.

Garden 2 - A modern home built on a former dairy farm designed for entertaining with low maintenance plantings, welcoming pavers, and an iconic white elm. Meet artists Katherine Allen & Kyle Osvog.

Garden 3 -  A woodland park on a river, old growth trees, azaleas, and native plants nurtured by a master Gardener. Home sits atop an abandoned bridge abutment. Meet artist Rob Thurston.

Garden 4 - A traditionally landscaped home with an oversized deck, filled with perennials and small trees, by a gardener who lived in urban areas and learned to love her balconies. Meet artist Marie Wheeler.

Garden 5 - A small in-towm lot brimming with eclectic plants nurtured from cuttings and sales. Narrow paths under oaks and pines are lined with pots and shrubs. Meet artist Fred Goodrum.
